Flor de Jamaica – Refreshing Iced Hibiscus Tea
This refreshing beverage is drank all over the world with many different names, from Latin America to Africa and China. The flowers are full of organic acids and also produce a deep red colour when infused. It is prepared in a similar way to Iced Tea, but the slightly tart and tangy flavour is reminiscent of Cranberry or Mulled Wine.
Served very cold with a mix of Lime and Orange slices this drink is perfect for hot summer days, something we are sadly lacking in England at the moment! But I can still fill up a nice cold glass, sit in a comfy chair and look out of my living room window dreaming of tropical heat and the beaches I could be lying on right at this moment! You can always dream…
